Silk Robe

This year, I've learned a lot about the importance of making time to relax at home. Today's assignment: spend an hour at night to relax and reflect.

Things you'll need: 1) A silk robe. I bought myself one years ago thinking I'd never wear it, but it was just too pretty to not take home. Don't just buy one - wear it. It's a little luxury and makes a big difference in your a.m. and p.m. routine. I have a leopard print robe, but I also love a nice silk nude color. 2) A journal. Invest in a beautiful book that you'll love to write in. Yes, they make apps for this, but no, it doesn't replace the actual act of writing. Take time to make daily reflections. Don't reread or rethink- just write. A creative and talented friend got me into this habit last year and it's something I'll never give up. 3) A really pretty pen- find one you love writing with and you'll keep the habit. 4) Body oil & 5) bubble bath... Buy yourself a special new product with an unforgettable scent. It will make you feel like you are at the spa and keep you relaxed for the evening.

Your assignment: After dinner, before bedtime clear an hour (two if possible) for some relaxation. Step AWAY from the cell, fill a bath, light some candles and take some time to reflect on what makes you happy in life. End the evening with your favorite product and slip into a silk robe for some journaling or a good book. You'd be surprised just how relaxing this can be if you take the time to make this happen, AND you'll save some cash by staying in.
